In 2021, MAS Intimates approached me with a clear objective: to increase the representation of women in managerial roles to 50% by 2025. Upon a comprehensive analysis of the challenges hindering women’s career advancement, we identified several key factors necessitating the development of a training program. This program was designed to refine and enhance essential skills, enabling women to progress confidently to the next level of their careers. Our approach involved extensive research, interviews, and the collection of personal stories to gain valuable insights. Subsequently, we developed a structured program that included a journaling component and a two-day workshop.
The two-day workshop was meticulously crafted to cover specific skill sets such as Personal Branding, fostering an empowering belief system, cultivating a professional presence, practicing business etiquette, and mastering effective communication. The latter addressed skills like assertiveness, providing constructive feedback, effective communication with diverse personalities, and using appropriate language.
For our senior women leaders, we delved even deeper, focusing on Emotional Intelligence and techniques for managing emotional triggers during challenging situations. Complementing the training program, we offered one-on-one coaching sessions. These sessions proved highly beneficial in breaking down barriers and eliminating mental roadblocks, especially during critical junctures in their careers.
As we progress towards the end of 2023, we are proud to report that 500 women have undergone transformational training through the SHE Wins Program at MAS Intimates. Witnessing the increased confidence, effective communication skills, and poised leadership among these women is truly gratifying. This Milestone marks just the beginning of our journey , towards achieving greater gender diversity and empowering women within the organization .
